Every Kid Can Play Program

EVERY KID CAN PLAY Program

Application Deadline - September 30, 2023

Keeping sport affordable for kids and youth

Alberta non-profit organizations can now apply for funding to access affordable sport, physical activity and recreation opportunities for children and youth through the Every Kid Can Play program. The Every Kid Can Play (EKCP) Program is designed to address affordability and accessibility challenges to sport, physical activity, and recreation (SPAR) programs for Alberta youth and their families.

The government is committing $8 million dollars this year which will allow us to make it easier for parents to get access to sport, physical activity and recreation for their kids, and to empower sport and recreation organizations, to provide quality and affordable sport programming for kids and youth.

Eligible Alberta families can apply for support to offset registration fees, through funds directed to KidSport Alberta.

Provincial Scope organizations and Community-Level non-profit organizations can apply for support through a separate grant application process with the Government of Alberta. This funding is available for non-profit organizations to reduce costs associated with the delivery, expansion, or enhancement of existing community-level programs.

Applications are open July 18 to September 30, 2023.
