The Every Kid Can Play (EKCP) Grant Program is designed to address affordability and accessibility challenges to sport, physical activity, and recreation (SPAR) programs for Alberta youth and their families. Funding is available to reduce costs associated with the delivery, expansion, or enhancement of existing community-level programs. 

Applicant’s grant history including reporting will be reviewed as part of the application assessment.

Organizations are eligible to receive no more than two consecutive years of funding and priority may be given to applicants that have not received previous SPAR project grants.

The maximum grant amount available to apply for is $100,000 per year for up to two years.

Project/programs may span more than one year but must be completed within 24 months after receiving funding.

Ongoing Registration Fee Support for Children and Youth

Alberta families can apply for up to $350.00 per child to offset registration fees, through funds directed to KidSport Alberta.
