(Winnipeg, MB) Week 2 is set to begin for Team Alberta at the 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, MB, and athletes are ready to keep the momentum set forth by the athletes which competed in the first week of activities.

The second week will feature lots of medal opportunities to be contested, such as in wrestling, canoe-kayak, and swimming. The golf competition kicks off Tuesday at the wide-open Southwood Golf & Country Club near the University of Manitoba, while the cyclists will compete in four medal events.

We are very proud of their accomplishments, whether it is winning a medal or achieving a personal best,” said Cam Berwald. “We are very excited to see a set of new athletes arrive and get settled into the Athlete’s village. These outstanding young individuals have followed the progress of Team Alberta and are motivated to carry the momentum into the second week of competition.”
