Edmonton… Athletes, coaches, managers and mission staff suited up in Stony Plain on July 8 as Team Alberta prepares to head to Winnipeg and the 2017 Canada Summer Games, July 28 – August 13.


The team received uniforms, named its Flag Bearer, had photos taken and received information about what to expect at the nation’s largest multi-sport event.


“Congratulations to the young athletes, coaches and staff selected to represent Alberta at the Canada Games,” said Ricardo Miranda, Minister of Culture and Tourism, responsible for sport in Alberta. “Your skill, dedication and love of the game have put you in a league with the best in our country, and we are all very proud of your accomplishments.
