Team Alberta bounced back on Sunday with a 6-5 win against Team Manitoba. After a heartbreaking overtime loss last night against Saskatchewan, the team took early control of the game, and never looked back.

Alberta took a comfortable 5-1 lead after the first period of play. Alberta added a goal early in the second to take a 6-1 lead. Manitoba added a couple of goals prior to the end of the second period.

Manitoba continued their comeback and narrowed the Alberta lead to just one goal. But Alberta stood their ground in front of their fans and protected that lead until the final buzzer to take the much-needed win.

Alberta is currently in first place of the Pool B standings with 4 points, ahead of Manitoba (3 points), British Columbia (3 points) and Saskatchewan (2 points). Team Alberta will face British Columbia tomorrow to conclude pool action, while Saskatchewan will face Manitoba tomorrow to conclude the preliminary round.
