Bethany Churchill, 18, of Calgary, AB competed today in the Squash women’s singles bronze medal match. On a match televised on TSN across the country, Churchill faced Ontario’s Brianna Jefferson but was unable to find the speed to counter her quick opponent, losing the match in three straight sets.

Churchill is a six-time age group Provincial Champion. At the 2015 Canada Games, Churchill was part of Team Alberta who finished in third place of the team event.

Tomorrow will be the final day of squash at the Canada Winter Games. Alberta has both the men’s and women’s team playing for bronze in the team tournament.
