Harris Canada Games Centre, with all three men — Imran Wadia, Kevin Lee and Yunzhi Chen — advancing to the quarterfinals with perfect records haven’t lost a set The stage is set for quarterfinals with all three Team Alberta men still, taking place on Wednesday starting at 9:30 am. In women’s action, Stephanie Cheung, Emily Chan and Kyleigh O’Donoghue easily advanced to the third round. Unfortunately for the trio, neither one qualified for the quarterfinals. In the women’s doubles tournament, Alberta’s two women’s team advanced to the quarterfinals, each remaining perfect in the first and second rounds, winning each of their sets. Stephanie Cheung and Eyota Kwan are forming a team, while Takeisha Wang and Emily Chan are forming the second team. The women’s doubles quarterfinals are set to take place tomorrow throughout the morning. In the men’s doubles tournament, Alberta also has two teams competing with Austin Bauer/Kevin Lee and Yunzhi Chen/Desmond Wang playing. Both teams benefited from a bye in the opening round and easily won their respective matches in the second round to advance to quarterfinals, scheduled for tomorrow morning.
