Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Branch is the NCCP Multi-Sport Delivery Agent for Alberta, and offers a wide variety of coach education and professional development opportunities for coaches and coach developers all across the province. You may already coach at the community level or you’re thinking about coaching. Maybe, you have a child involved in sport, or you volunteer with participants new to a sport.
You have previous experience or you’re a former athlete. You may already coach at a regional/prov. level, you tend to work with athletes over the long-term to improve performance.
Coaches in the Instruction stream must have sport-specific skills and training, whether at the beginner or advanced skill level. Many are former participants in the sport.
