The National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) provides educational opportunities to coaches through learning facilitators.
High quality learning facilitators are crucial to the development of skilled, knowledgeable coaches.
Learning facilitators receive training, are evaluated and are required to participate in regularly scheduled professional development workshops.
The Alberta Sport Connection and the Government of Alberta are responsible for central scheduling, promotion, administration and co-ordination of the multi-sport NCCP.
This responsibility includes maintaining a list of trained and certified learning facilitators who are available to deliver high quality coach training throughout Alberta.
